Cycle Guard

Intercom Cable

Cycle Guard

  • About a month ago I complained on this message board about rub marks appearing on my 1800's tank from my jeans rubbing back and forth. Mr. Rob Harris e-mailed me telling me about a product his company produces that should help with my problem. His product is called Cycle Guards and is a high quality vinyl that goes on like those old airplane model decals we all use to build as kids. They are pre-cut to fit the GL1800 and have very good instructions included. They can be taken off and put on again and again with no effect to the vinyl. It took me two tries to get the results I wanted but I'm very happy with the final results. When they are put on correctly they are almost invisible unless you press your nose right up to the tank. The secret I found out was using lots and lots of water as per the instructions until the vinyl decal floats around on the tank. Then the bubbles that get trapped are easily removed using a wet sponge and work them out from the middle to the edges. Anyway have a look at their web site and decide for yourself. www.cycleguards.com
I'm glad I invested in them.

Intercom Cable

  • To prevent the left saddlebag from scuffing first undo the intercom cable from it's holder than cut a small hole in the top so when you connect the upper cable it will look like the front cable holder. I am still trying to figure out why Honda did not put the same type on cable holder as the front one. Or another fix is to buy another holder from Honda that matches the front one
