Hitch Tips

I decided on the Dauntless Hitch because it hides behind the rear fender and I could get one down the freeway at Wingman's.

The Dauntless Hitch seems to be well constructed, came with good instructions, and hides nice when the coupler - which can be set at two heights - is removed. However, the fit was a bit off.  I had to wrestle with the right side arm quite a bit to get the saddlebag frame bolt back in.  Top picture is the side that fit well.  Also, I had to tap the mounting holes for the rear plate.  They were so full of paint the bolts wouldn't turn in.

The Electrical Connection Trailer Isolator is a nice unit!  It fits on top of the inner fender, along with the trailer FUSES!!!  If I ever have to replace a fuse back there, I'll probably relocate the unit to the passenger glove box with my aux. fuses.  I used a 6 connector plug because that's what I have on my trailer and it worked out real nice to wrap in the safety chain loops when not in use.  Didn't have to mount a plug!!  Cool.  An extra set of plugs with the wires cut off make good caps too.

Before I re-installed the rear tip-over bars, I put on the Big Bike passenger floorboard risers and some chrome covers.
