Fairing Pocket Tips

Removal of Left Fairing Pocket

  • Should be little round rivets in all 4 corners. Push the centers of them in, but be CAREFUL, they like to fly away.

  • If you push the center of the clip it goes in about 1/8 inch and the clips can be easily be removed with your finger nail or something thin. After you get them out you push the bottom up so the center is out 1/8",  put the pocket back in, put the clip in the hole, and push the center flush

Sticking Pocket Lid

This fix was posted on the gl1800.org forum by Ed Blau. Several comments have been made regarding the ice pick which is now an antique. You can also use skewer or any other small stiff object.
